Star of the West to build corn mill

QUINCY, MICHIGAN — Star of the West Milling Co. has unveiled plans to build a corn mill at the site of its former wheat flour mill in Quincy.

Quincy had been home to one of the company’s five wheat flour mills, but with the recent expansion of its mill in Ligonier, Ind., and the extreme age and small capacity of the Quincy mill, Star of the West decided to discontinue wheat flour milling at that location.
