Sustainability Opportunities

Star of the West has several opportunities with various companies each year for sustainability, depending on the crops you grow and the request of our food company customers. Please reach out to your agronomy contact at Star of the West, or Lisa Woodke, Sustainability Director, for a program in your area. Current and past programs have included soft white winter wheat, soft red winter wheat, oats, dry beans and food grade soybeans.

All sustainability programs require additional paperwork, and most utilize an online tracking tool such as the AgriEdge system from Syngenta or the Truterra system from Land O’ Lakes. Both of these systems are currently offered through Star of the West at no additional cost to the grower. Over the years we have also been involved in various programs that utilize other data systems, including something as simple as a spreadsheet to as in-depth as COMET-Farm.
